Some Analysis:

1. Read the questions carefully, and make sure you have answered all the questions before you hand in the
    answer sheets...some of you lose marks easily due to this factor...

2. For question 2: Make sure when you import the series of images, import them to the stage NOT to the
    library...and you should drag the movie clip symbol of rabbit to the stage not the bitmap one ok...

3. And the most important is DIVIDE AN EQUAL TIME for each questions... don't spend too much time in
    answering 1 question...you have another questions waiting to be answered...

Salam and Hello to everyone,

First of all, it's been awhile for me not posting any entry...why? because my motherboard just crushed (that explained a lot about the sudden shutdown when i'm in the middle of doing my work, argghh) and i was having problem installing Flash CS3 in my sister's notebook (another argghh)...but everything is fine now...thanks to Him...hrmmm...

Well, last 2 week, Dr Zaidatun gave u guys homework regarding the Basic of Actionscript...and to my surprised and Dr too, u guys did terrific...it seems like you guys are good at self learning and like to explore new things without spoon fed by Dr...

and last week u guys helped each other in completing the homework...and it's good to see when some of the students appraised their group members when they're finally able to do the homework...

and last week too, again Dr gave u homework about 'Multiple Choice Question' and 'Text Entry Question' activities...but, i do not see (up to this moment) any post regarding these 2 activities in your blog...why? are you having problem in doing it? or still looking for an idea? or busy with another assignment? or just save the post as a draft and not publishing it yet, or or or what? hahaha, i have just come out with too many assumptions on that....forgive me for that ok...haha...

Like Rafi, she said she's having problem in doing the MCQ and Text Entry activities. This is what she said:

Sekarang ni tengah buat MCQ's dengan text entry question.. bahagian text entry tu kenapa ntah die xdapat nak detect variable respon..patutnya letak jawapan betul keluarla respon correct.. tapi tetap gak die keluar incorrect.. xpaham kenapa die xjadik.check script betul dah..nape ek :(

Ha, anyone can help her in diagnose the problem?why it happened that way?

If you want to help her, what will be your first question to her?

If i am in your shoe, i would say, ok Rafi now please explain step by step on how you do the activity...and don't miss any steps...so that i might know the problem....will you?

BREAKING NEWS

People, Norzie had just solved the problem regarding the case sensitive on Actionscript yesterday night...previously, u guys only manage to key in lowercase letter...Now, with her help, u can have various style of answers...either UPPERCASE, lowercase, Sentence case, Capitalize Each Word or tOOGLE cASE...

Not forgotten, Ashikhin also manage to do it, but on her own way, because she is very good in programming, not like me...hehe...i admit that one...i don't like it at all...

Now, what are you waiting for? Don't just stare at my blog...go visit their blogs...sure worth to pay a visit there...

Cut-Out Animation

For the Cut-Out Animation, again i would like to share the problem encountered by Syakira...

But before that, this is my design, very simple one...i just wanna show how the rabbit kinda spinning after slipped on banana peel...




no need for you to add more keyframe and change the position of the rabbit...u can simply change the Rotate to CCW and set 3 as times for rabbit to rotate

easy pizzy right...

 

 Enough of that, back to Syakira problem...This is what she asks...

So. in order to answer her question i made this one myself...hehe...

I know i know very simple one...but i want you guys to think and consider about these 2 things...

Is it the setting of the keyframe OR the rabbit picture that kinda flat which actually contribute to the problem?

Motion Guides

Remember when Dr Zaidatun mentioned that if you want to make the ants movement look realistic, you should add more keyframe and change the position of the ants...From your post, i can see some of you did add more keyframe and some didn't...

Well take a look on 2 pictures below:
 

 

When you add the motion at the ant layer, you will see there's one option 'Orient to path' appears at the properties section...


So my question is that, is it enough if one just ticks at the 'Orient to path' to make the ants movements look real OR is it one still needs to add more keyframe and adjust the position too?

If you can / can't detect the differences, please state here ok...

Another question, all this while we only used Pencil tool to draw the line/path thus the object can moves...Is it possible to make the line using Brush tool?Do you really think the ants can move along the path that being drawn using Brush tool?

If yes, why is it so?
If not, why is it so?

Well try it, you just sitting there anyway...hihi...

Class, in this entry i would like you guys to post any problems or issues that you have encountered in Flash...

Apart from that, you too can ask for IDEAS here...let say you want to design something, but do not know where to start or how to do it, just let us now ok...your classmates are creative2 one...

And you know, i think it is better for you guys to start thinking about what to do for the Assignment 1...thus, you won't face much difficulties later...tak de la pening-pening nak cari idea kan...

For last week activity, some of your friends or perhaps u yourself have problems right...
But for now, i just want to highlight the following problem...
This is based on TRUE story ok, haha...
One of your classmates, Syakira had this puzzle in her mind...This was what she wrote in her blog...

MASALAH:

Antara masalah yang saya hadapi ialah untuk paint langit secara gradient. Warna biru berada di kanan dan memudar kepada warna putih di kiri padahal saya mahukan biru di atas dan memudar putih di bawah. Saya lakukan ini dengan cara memusingkan rectangle yang saya lukis. Apa cara sebenarnya untuk melakukannya? Any ideas, please...

Since no one ever responds to her problem, thus i bring the problem here la...so everybody can read and give opinion on how to solve the puzzle...

Please, who are among you guys can actually solve this using the right technique?

Class Activity 1

Salam and Hello to all...

How's your lesson on Flash...can catch up or not?
OK, Lets make a list here, so far you have learned on Flash CS3 Interface-the features and tools...
then move on to Tracing Images using Onion Skin Tool,
after that, you guys play around with Gradients and Fill with Photographs,
next, comes the interesting part which is Tweening- Motion and Shape tween...where you are very excited seeing your ball bouncing all over the place...hahaha...

Well, there are certain basic rules and techniques that you have to follow in order to do the tutorial...hope you guys have jotted everything down in the note book...

I just wanna say good luck in designing your Flash, the one that you need to submit next week...Use all the concepts and techniques that you already learned plus your creativity...just do the simple2 one, but no more bouncing ball ok...

so far only Syakira and Azaki have done it...and their designs are not bad too...pay a visit to their blogs and drop some critiques on the design okay...tell you what it is getting hot now...everybody starts showing their creativity...great start....

oo ya, please reflect on how you do the animation, how long does it takes you to complete it, and others that you think worth to share la...

.swf file inside the blog

Salam and hello to everyone....

Today is the second meeting for Authoring class...and you guys have played around with Flash and very excited eh...

And thank you to Zune for asking how to embed the .swf file inside the blog...i'm waiting actually for someone to ask...hehe

So, below are the steps:

1. Go to this url http://sites.google.com

2. Then sign in to google account...just use your blog username and password ok...

3. Then hit the 'Create Site' button

4. Choose Template > Site Name > Preferred URL > Code > Create Site

5. Click 'Create Page' button on the top right of the page

6. Select 'File Cabinet' and give name

7. Choose either one: Put page at Top Level or Under Home

8. Click Add File > Your file > Upload

9. Highlight the 'View' link, right click and copy link location

 

10. Paste the link that you have copied just now inside your blog
      For example  https://sites.google.com/site/authoringsystem/flash-1/textentry.swf?attredirects=0

There you go...as far as i'm concern one cannot embed the .swf file directly to the blog...this is one way that you can do la...

So, try it...u can ask for help if facing problem in creating the site....

And now you can post the .swf file as many as you want to your blog...Can't wait to see...hrmmm...

Perhaps this is your first experience on Flash...

So, what is Flash?

It is not about the flash that your camera produced when you take pictures ok...but it is a software that one use to make animated movies or the one that you always seen-'teaching courseware' in school...
 
It is kind of relief to know for some of you as Flash does not require programming skill and easy to learn...
 
How do you rate yourself in Flash? Do not be shy to admit as we can see that as a benchmark for better lesson in future...

Well, I have done some 'googling' on good introduction tutorial for beginner in Flash and found this one...
