Today is the second meeting for Authoring class...and you guys have played around with Flash and very excited eh...
And thank you to Zune for asking how to embed the .swf file inside the blog...i'm waiting actually for someone to ask...hehe
So, below are the steps:
1. Go to this url http://sites.google.com
2. Then sign in to google account...just use your blog username and password ok...
3. Then hit the 'Create Site' button
4. Choose Template > Site Name > Preferred URL > Code > Create Site
5. Click 'Create Page' button on the top right of the page
6. Select 'File Cabinet' and give name
7. Choose either one: Put page at Top Level or Under Home
8. Click Add File > Your file > Upload
9. Highlight the 'View' link, right click and copy link location
10. Paste the link that you have copied just now inside your blog
For example https://sites.google.com/site/authoringsystem/flash-1/textentry.swf?attredirects=0
There you go...as far as i'm concern one cannot embed the .swf file directly to the blog...this is one way that you can do la...
So, try it...u can ask for help if facing problem in creating the site....
And now you can post the .swf file as many as you want to your blog...Can't wait to see...hrmmm...
Salam..i tried to do follow the instruction, but still failed
ReplyDeletethat's ok...let's troubleshoot the problem together...can you identify at which stage that u actually have trouble with?
ReplyDeletei got problem in this step
ReplyDelete9. Highlight the 'View' link, right click and copy link location
since it appears download, not view.
so, whenever i copying the link, the person who click will either download or just view it.
i'm not sure why the view isn't apppear...it suppose to emerge after u have upload the file...
ReplyDeletecan you just send me the link that u've copied just now...i wanna see what the link means
i guess i know where the problem lies...
ReplyDeleteu upload .fla file type instead of .swf...
that is why it appears download, coz u will need Flash CS3 program to run it...
if you upload .swf file it will be automatically played by Flash Player...basically all computers will have Flash Player installed...that explained why one can always view youtube videos...
when u test the animation, Flash will generate 1 file which is .swf file...then you need to upload that one...ok...
do it tomorrow ok..
thx for sharing this i able to upload it.
ReplyDeletealright Kak Zune...good to hear it..
